The Ready to Advance Core Curriculum serves as the foundation of our preschool program. Designed specifically for today’s PreK classrooms, RTA builds and integrates knowledge across key learning domains, including early literacy, math, social-emotional development, science, and social studies. Aligned to state and national learning outcomes, RTA supports children’s growth through:

• Classroom management routines that foster a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment.
• Spiraling review and repeated exposures to reinforce concepts and ensure mastery over time.
• Purposeful play that makes learning engaging, memorable, and fun—both at school and at home.

• Print and digital take-home resources that strengthen school-home connections and promote family involvement in learning.

Fundations is a research-based supplemental program that enhances our literacy instruction with a strong focus on foundational reading and writing skills. It provides systematic instruction in:

• Letter formation
• Phonemic awareness
• Phonics
• Vocabulary
• Handwriting

Using a multisensory approach, Fundations helps build the critical early literacy skills that are essential for reading success. It supports students through engaging activities, visuals, and repetition, laying the groundwork for confident, proficient readers.

To further support language and literacy development, the Heggerty Phonemic Awareness curriculum is implemented daily. Heggerty provides explicit and systematic instruction in:

• Rhyming
• Blending
• Segmenting
• Onset and rime
• Phoneme isolation, addition, deletion, and substitution

This oral language-focused program strengthens children’s ability to hear, identify, and manipulate sounds in spoken words—an essential skill in the early stages of reading.
